"I had never heard of this author or this book until a friend of mine had said that she was considering doing her graduate school thesis on this book. Since she and I have very similar taste in many things, I thought the book might be something I would enjoy. I decided that I should read it too, so she and I could discuss it something like a one-time only book club. I put off getting it until I found it in a used book store in downtown New Orleans. If you have been thinking about it and feel like you cannot do it or do not even know where to begin, this book is for you...." Read more here

"Traveling is a wonderful experience. It is exciting and exhilarating, and a person will always learn a lot about not only the place and people he is visiting but also about himself. Living abroad is also an amazing experience, something not everyone can do or may ever get the chance to if he wants to. But if someone has the opportunity to live abroad, I would recommend doing it, no matter what the challenges are and no matter what the sacrifices might be. It is usually a once in a lifetime experience and something that will help a person grow and learn in ways that he may never expect. Sometimes the challenges can be unfortunately overwhelming and sometimes even insurmountable...." Read more here
